PFI ProClean Series String Wound filter cartridges are designed for a variety of prefiltration applications such as SDI (service deionization), reverse osmosis, and CDI (Continuous Deionization) systems. ProClean benang cartridges are composed of bleached white cotton string wound polypropylene over a polypropylene core.

PFI Filtration String Wound Cartridges are produced by winding strands of yarn around a cylindrical core to form a matrix for effective depth filtration of larger particles. String Wound Filter Cartridges are an excellent choice for economical, nominal filtration in the range of 1-150 microns, with both the yarn and core available in a wide array of materials to ensure that the filter is compatible with the process streams and conditions. General Filtration’s String Wound Cartridges are available in multiple lengths and diameters to fit in existing housings and other brands.

PFI ProClean string wound filter cartridge also called string wound filter is designed for efficiently removing dirt, rust and sediment from water.

It is a low-cost liquid filter cartridge offering excellent depth filtration and strong chemical resistance.

All above string filters can be with polypropylene, stainless steel or tin steel inner core.

The PFI® PP is a nominally rated polypropylene cartridge that works well as either a pre-filter or final filter in a wide range of applications including industrial, chemical process, food & beverage, cosmetics

and water. Our PFI® PP filters benang are manufactured through an exclusive process that thermally bonds pure polypropylene. Lower density fibers are at the surface and sequentially higher density fibers are used toward the center. This process traps particles more evenly throughout the cross section.

ProClean filter benang stringwound cartridges are available with polypropylene or cotton materials wound onto polypropylene, 304 stainless steel or tinned steel cores. The cartridges can be used ( in one combination of materials or another ) in most areas chemical compatibility is of concern. Special materials are available for high temperature and our specific applications. Food grade product (FDA PP Fibre) is always available ex-stock.
